Seblak: Savory and Spicy Indonesian Street Food

the name sound familiar? So what exactly is this food, how does it look and

So, seblak is a typical food of West Java, Indonesia, to be
precise seblak is a culinary specialty of Bandung. The name seblak itself
refers to the name of the spice used, namely “kencur.” The process of making
this food is quite easy with the main ingredients being crackers (kerupuk) with
the addition of a variety of toppings, such as eggs, sausage, macaroni,
noodles, vegetables, chicken, and many more. Seblak is a food with a spicy and
savory taste.
Over time, seblak which was originally only street food. Now, become
a class because it has been served in various restaurants and cafes. If you
have the opportunity to visit Indonesia, it’s not difficult to find this food,
starting on the side of the road as street food to food court, both restaurants

Ingredients
- 1 instant noodle
- 2 eggs
- 2 sausages
- orange crackers (kerupuk oranye)
- macaroni
- Leeks and mustard greens
- 1 red onion
- 1 garlic
- 7 red chilies
- a pinch of kencur
- 1 small sachet of tomato sauce
- sugar, salt, flavoring
- 1.5-2 cups of water
How to cook:
1. Firstly, prepare the cooking utensils.
2. Fry the eggs, stirring frequently.
3. Puree shallots, garlic, kencur, and chilies.
4. saute ground spices.
5. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, add sauce, sugar, salt,
and flavorings
6. After the water thickens, give the crackers (kerupuk) and macaroni that
have been soaked in hot water and meatballs, then correct the taste.
7. Insert the noodles after a while.
8. Remove and serve while warm.
